Codes of Conduct
Dancesport Scotland has established a Code of Conduct for all its members plus a dedicated one written for all young people to ensure everyone involved in its activities upholds the highest standards of behaviour. The Codes of Conduct include:
• Treating all children with respect and dignity.
• Listening to and valuing children’s opinions and concerns.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a supportive environment.
• Avoid one-on-one situations where an adult is alone with a child, except in emergencies.
• Not engaging in or tolerating bullying, discrimination, or abusive behaviour.
• Reporting any concerns regarding a child’s safety or well-being.
Anyone in/alleged to be in breach of the Codes would be subject to the Council’s investigation process and follow-on disciplinary process if deemed appropriate.
